VGumbo Mini / by Maya Alexis

One of my thousands of readers (ha) asked me to share my favorite secondhand stores in LA. The ridiculous size and amount of shit held in most thrift stores keeps me away from them but my favorite alternative is Vintage Shops.

The shop owners often collect all of the items themselves and carry quirky little stories with each pile of shit or individual garment. Their stories, personalities, and whatever wacky items they wear all contribute to the exciting experience that is #VintageShopping woo hoo.  I thought I would start this little series featuring some of my favorite Vintage experiences. (#VGumbo).

First up, American Vintage. (Instagram: @americanxvintage) Los Angeles

March 22 marks the day I started to get my blog together as well as the day I found my love, American Vintage. The prices were awesome, the selection was amazing, organized, and the most surprising part was that they had stuff that was small enough to fit me. My mom had a seat and patiently waited, she laughed as I tried on the three giant piles of clothes.
